have tried to quit smoking many times before….and boy is it difficult. will try again in 2009….so wish me luck.

    • I tried to quit smoking with Chantix and at first it worked then suddenly I began to smoke more than I did before I started taking it. After that I discontinued taking it and a couple of weeks later after I smoked my last cigarette I put on a nicotine patch and left it on as long as I could and I have not smoked since that on patch. I has been 24 days now.

If it is any help to anyone I was a sixty to eighty a day man when I was at sea but I stopped suddenly one night after I realised how much the government were taking in comparison to the actual price of the cigarettes and being Scot added to my determination never to start again. I went from getting up in the middle of the night and going to the window to inhale oxygen into my lungs to breathing normally again also being able to run without getting breathless or having fits of coughing within a year. I was healthier and richer and will never smoke again. Your body and wallet will tell you when to quit so listen to them.
